Your Profile

This Managing Director must have a proven track record in Consumer Publishing combined with a knowledge of the contemporary art world. This MD must have excellent strategic and commercial skills, be results orientated, with the ability to drive and deliver the implementation of new ideas. This MD needs to be a strong and motivational leader, who can negotiate, influence and work with both Sales and Editorial teams. This Managing Director needs to have experience or working to tight budgets and understand the challenges and opportunities in magazine publishing.

The Role

This Managing Director will take responsibility for the company's vision and help write the company's Business Plan. The Managing Director will assess the income and expenditure across the company, agreeing budgets and maximising profitability. The MD will also be tasked with identifying new business opportunities, making recommendations to the Directors and taking the lead to make them happen. The Managing Director will have the responsibility for the strategy to increase the magazines market share, as well as managing the teams to make sure this is successful.
