Your Profile

You are an IP Patent Paralegal with a proven track record of both Patent and Trade Mark formalities, ideally gained within an in-house legal department. You will have gained experience of domain name retrievals, enforcement initiatives and the management of patent formalities. You must also have a very good working knowledge and interest in IP issues, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. CIPA and ITMA Formalities qualifications would be advantageous.

The Role

This is a pivotal position in a growing in-house IP department and your responsibilities will include; maintenance of patent portfolio database, attending invention caption meetings, liaising with inventors, domain name management, assistance with renewals, liaison with trade mark IP counsel and conducting legal research. Reporting into the Head of Legal, you will immediately gain responsibility for a number of projects where your IP expertise and knowledge will be stretched, so you must be both efficient and proactive in your work style.
