Team Oarsome Row for Macmillan Cancer Support

Ten members of pfj, the media recruitment consultancy, are undertaking a truly ‘oarsome’ challenge over the next 12 weeks for Macmillan Cancer Support by doing a virtual row around the British Isles which equates to a massive 2,000 miles of rowing!

If you have ever rowed more than 5km in the gym you will know that the likes of Steve Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent must be very special individuals but that hasn’t stopped Lucy, Carly, Kelly, Katy, Paul, Chris, Ed, Tina, Keira and Eleni taking on the challenge. For the next 12 weeks the team will be sweating it out in their gyms rowing around 20-30km per week…which depending on how ‘long’ and how ‘strong’ you are can take around 2-3 hours!!!! However the challenge is nothing compared to the work of Macmillan Cancer Support who help to improve the lives of people affected by cancer on a daily basis. pfj Team Oarsome have set themselves a target of raising £10 000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
