Three new editors appointed at Hearst

8 Apr 10 - 12:00AM
Three new editors have been appointed for flagship titles at Hearst Magazines, which owns the National Magazine Company Ltd.

The appointments are Newell Turner, as editor-in-chief of House Beautiful and Stephen Drucker and Dara Caponigro in the same roles at Town & Country and VERANDA respectively.

On the news, Catherine P. Black, the president of Hearst Magazines said: "Stephen, Newell and Dara are highly creative, talented and successful editors with extensive backgrounds across a wide and diverse group of magazines.

"They all bring exciting new ideas and energy to their positions. I am confident that they will build on the distinguished work of their predecessors and will lead Town & Country, House Beautiful and VERANDA, respectively, to many more years of continued success with readers and advertisers."

The announcements may hail new vacancies for editorial and design staff.

Mr Drucker moved across titles from House Beautiful to Town & Country, while Mr Turner has been promoted from his former role as style director at the magazine. Ms Caponigro is leaving Domino magazine to rejoin the company, after starting her magazine career at House Beautiful.
