A brand new marketing campaign designed to boost overseas tourist numbers to London has been announced by Boris Johnson.
The mayor unveiled the campaign on Friday (March 20th) at the start of British Tourism Week.
It will officially be launching in the UK at the end of next month and will then target "key international markets" throughout the summer in places including North America and Europe.
Worth £2 million, the marketing campaign will be aimed at tourists all over the world and is to be funded by the London Development Agency.
It is hoped that as a result of the marketing push, which has the tagline 'Only in London', tourism will bring in an additional £60 million to the capital by the end of this year.
Commenting on the campaign, Mr Johnson said: "Only in London can you visit the historic Houses of Parliament in the morning, ride the London Eye in the afternoon, and see a wonderful West End Show before deciding which of the world's cuisines to sample in its many restaurants."
