Media Week announces awards shortlist

Mediaedge:CIA, MediaCom, Carat and Vizeum are all in with a chance of winning the coveted media agency of the year award at the event.
Nominations for media brand of the year were given to Heart FM, owned by Global Radio, Last FM, owned by CBS, Shortlist Media, UTV's Talksport, Dennis Publishing's the Week and News International's tabloid the Sun.
Bauer Media, Mirror Group Newspapers and Guardian News and Media were also nominated in the medium sized sales pitch category, for accounts worth between £250,000 and £1 million.
Steve Barrett, editor of Media Week, wrote on the ceremony's website: "There's nothing quite like the atmosphere at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair on Media Week Awards night in October.
"Through thick times and thin, the great and the good of the media world turn out to celebrate excellence in our wonderful industry."
The awards will be won and lost on October 29th.
