Unilever to launch £150m UK media review

Food, home care and personal care products manufacturer Unilever has called for a review of its British media planning, worth an estimated £150m.

A huge amount of the global corporation's media contracts will also be a part of the process in countries such as India, North America, China, France and Germany.

The total global review by the company will encompass spending worth up to £3 billion.

WPP's Mindshare, one of the current incumbent companies used by Unilever, is thought to be keeping close tabs on the development of the review.

Unilever's vice president of global media, Laura Klauberg, said: "As we drive media innovation and improved value for Unilever, and as dramatic changes in the media landscape reshape our communication needs, we are continuing to evaluate the service and capabilities of our media agency partners across all disciplines."

Mindshare recently produced a number of webisodes for Unilever starring 30 Rock star Jane Krakowski.
