Times to charge for online content next year

According to new media age, the newspaper's publisher News International hopes to use a similar model to the Wall Street Journal, which has offered web content on an annual subscription basis since 1996.
Timings on the introduction of paid-for strategies at the Sun and the News of the World have not yet been decided.
Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corporation, which owns News International, said work on potential fee structures is ongoing.
It is reported that a new media job will be created as the company looks into its options. It will hire a new director of product development for the two tabloid titles to help generate new revenues.
Meanwhile, Mr Murdoch has expressed his desire to pull the online versions of News International's publications from search engine Google to help protect quality journalism.
