IPC announces publishing director restructure

18 January 2010 15:05

Magazine publisher IPC Media has announced a number of changes within its women's and television entertainment divisions.

It said key publishing director responsibilities would be shaken up following a major restructure of the company last year.

IPC TX, which handles television entertainment, was merged with IPC Connect, the mass market women's section.

Under the new arrangements, Sandy Gales will be the publishing director of Now magazine, Woman's Weekly and Soaplife, while Angela O'Farrell will take on the same media job at Chat, What's on TV and TV easy.

Oswin Grady will take the publishing director at Woman and TV & Satellite Week, Look will be overseen by Julie Lavington and Niall Clarkson will take the job at Pick Me Up, Woman's Own and TVTimes.

All of the new publishing directors will have responsibility for some of IPC Media's magazine websites in addition to its publications.

Fiona Dent, managing director of IPC Connect, said: "This reorganisation of publishing responsibilities places Connect in the best possible position to benefit from the wealth of talent and experience we have in the division."

IPC Media's print brands reach almost 27 million UK adults, focusing on three audiences - men, mass market women and upmarket women.
