Guardian News and Media announces board level restructure

Marketing director Marc Sands is stepping down from his position after a decade in the media job, claiming it is the right time for him to go given the "changing shape and needs of the business".
He will not be replaced directly, although Adam Freeman, who is currently commercial director of Guardian News & Media, will be promoted to the role of director of consumer media.
Joe Clark, the group's director and general manager of newspapers, is also leaving behind a top media job. He will depart at the same time as Mr Sands.
Other new appointments to the board include Colin Hughes, who will become director of business and professional, and Jon Cornaby, the publisher's finance director.
Guardian News & Media is the core division of Guardian Media Group and publishes the organisation's national titles the Guardian and the Observer.
