Love to replace Sim with double managing directors

Design company Love has announced that it will be offering its managing director (MD) spot to two employees to work as a team, as opposed to simply promoting one person.

The vacancy goes to both Richard Hall and Chris Conlan, who are already employees at the company, and has given a boost of confidence to the firm after Alistair Sim, previous MD, resigned last week.

Dave Palmer, one of the agency's founders, explained in a Drum report: "Chris and Richard have a talent set that will benefit Love's clients and the Love team.

"Together they have a great energy and a wealth of experience that will build on Love’s achievements and drive the agency into a successful future."

The move highlights the need to think creatively about recruitment in the face of the potential recession in 2009.

Recruitment of graduates or experienced employees can both offer a great deal of confidence to any organisation, which will be crucial as the economy threatens to contract throughout the coming year.
