Oxfam head of media position becomes available

The charity's head of media is leaving to become media director at 1Goal on March 7th and will be responsible for the campaign's media operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, prweek.com reports.
It is the second senior appointment announced by 1Goal after Save the Children campaign director Adrian Lovett joined the organisation in 2007.
1Goal, which is hoped will be as successful as Make Poverty History, is using this year's football World Cup to raise awareness of the lack of education for 72 million children around the world.
Mr Barratt, unlike Mr Lovett who is expected to return to his previous position this autumn, has reportedly joined the campaign for the long term, which begins in earnest on April 20th.
He has been responsible for Oxfam's media unit since 2005, with his team consisting of 15 members of staff.
