Chairman promises 'radical changes' at ITV

7 January 2010 18:06

Those seeking media jobs at ITV may be interested to hear that the broadcaster's chairman is planning a major shakeup.

Archie Norman told staff in an email that the company will look very different three years from now, the Guardian reports.

He claimed ITV can remain as it is and said he wants to "accelerate the transformation" of the broadcaster.

While ITV enjoyed a good end to 2009, he said 2010 will be tough and confirmed that a strategy review will be launched this month to "define the journey ahead".

Any changes at ITV could be good news for media job seekers as it may open up some interesting opportunities in a number of areas.

Mr Norman was appointed chairman last year and stepped into the shoes of outgoing boss Michael Grade in the New Year.

A number of top executives have left ITV in recent months, while new faces have been taken on to replace them, giving the broadcaster a brand new board for 2010.
