BBC Worldwide appoints new director of communications

Charlotte Elston will begin the media job in January, bringing international experience to the company and helping it to build the BBC brand around the globe.
She has previously worked as group communications director for marketing firm Aegis Group and head of corporate communications at media company Pearson.
Ms Elston will fill the position left vacant by Alison Jeremy, who is leaving to take on a top media job with BT Retail.
John Smith, chief executive of BBC Worldwide, said: "Charlotte joins BBC Worldwide at an exciting time for the company.
"The company is going from strength to strength and I am delighted to have attracted someone of her calibre to join BBC Worldwide's senior team."
Meanwhile, Neil Nightingale has been appointed as creative director for BBC Earth.
