Wired magazine 'launch publisher' Jamie Jouning has been appointed to a new media job position at Conde Nast.
From January 1st 2010, he will serve as publisher of its Digital Britain division, a newly created role that will encompass all of the company's digital business in the UK, including websites for its leading brands.
Mr Jouning has plenty of experience in magazine publishing, having previously worked at GQ and GQ Style before overseeing Wired's UK launch in March 2009.
Nicholas Coleridge, managing director of Conde Nast, said: "Jamie's appointment is a measure of the importance we're attaching to digital.
"His considerable publishing experience and contacts in the agency and client worlds will be of great benefit to the project."
The firm will now begin searching for a replacement publisher at Wired magazine.
Conde Nast is a global magazine publisher with titles including Vogue, W, GQ, Wired, Vanity Fair and the New Yorker.
