IAB and MySpace launch digital media careers initiative

The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) has teamed up with social network MySpace to launch a new initiative aimed at attracting graduates to careers in digital media.

Through the partnership, they will create an online hub containing a wide range of advice and information about the industry.

Digital media job seekers will be able to access educational material, videos on creative web advertising and blogs from top media agencies.

Competitions will also be launched on the site, giving graduates the opportunity to win work experience placements.

Stuart Aitken, editorial manager of the IAB, said: "The MySpace initiative is a big step for the IAB, and we intend to engage with our followers on a regular basis, providing inspirational content and real insights from those working at the heart of the industry."

The IAB is the trade association for online advertising and has over 480 members, who it works with to help them identify opportunities in the online marketing sphere.
