Digitalis Media appoints new chairman

Mark Wood, former chief executive of Prudential, is to take on a top media job, having been appointed as the new chairman of Digitalis Media.

The search engine optimisation and online reputation management firm, which was launched this year, said it chose Mr Wood because of his experience in managing early stage growth.

Dave King, chief executive of Digitalis, said the senior level executive "understands all the challenges of meeting accelerating demand while building a reputation for exceeding the demands of clients".

As well as his role at Prudential, Mr Wood has also held top posts with Barclays and AXA and has run and number of financial services and technology start-ups in the UK and the US.

The qualified chartered accountant also set up the pensions insurance company Paternoster in 2005.

Also on the Digitalis Media board is Scott Muir, managing director, who has over 13 years of experience in marketing and has worked with the likes of television production company Endemol and entertainment company Warner Bros.
