Endemol appoints digital media head

Ynon Kreiz, the company's new chief executive, will announce the appointment of Adam Valkin in the role, which many industry commentators and journalists have interpreted as a signal that the company plans to expand Big Brother's mobile and internet business plans.
Mr Kreiz told the Financial Times: "[Adam Valkin] is someone with a venture capital background who's seen all the new technology, the start-ups and the new ideas. Adam is an entrepreneur with a proven ability to build businesses in the digital domain and a strong commercial and operational grip."
Mr Valkin will build on over ten years of experience in the digital media market, during which time he was involved in financing the online DVD rental service Lovefilm, in addition to involvement with mobile games group Player X and film site Blinkbox.
He moves to the role from a position with Arts Alliance.
