Adam Crozier takes top job at ITV

29 January 2010 11:18

ITV has announced the appointment of Adam Crozier as its new chief executive.

Mr Crozier, who is currently the chief executive of the Royal Mail Group, previously headed up Saatchi & Saatchi, the global media agency.

Announcing that the vacancy for the top media job had been successfully filled, ITV chairman Archie Norman expressed his delight at the capture.

He said: "Adam is a very strong leader with a great track record in delivering transformational change. He has worked successfully in talent-driven organisations with government and regulators.

"His task is to bring together the skills and talent within ITV to drive the business on its strategic journey."

Mr Crozier has spent the last seven years at the Royal Mail, during which time he implemented a major transformation programme for the Post Office and also oversaw its development into a successful online business.

Earlier this month, ITV took another step forward in its expansion plans with the opening of its seventh international production office in France.

Based in Paris, ITV Studios appointed international formats executive Francois Florentiny as its director-general.
