IPO launches brand exhibition

The event will examine the rich heritage of brands in the UK and their relationship with patents, trademarks and copyright.
Visitors will be able to trace the history of some of the most iconic brands of the last century and learn more about how intellectual property has helped to establish them as household names.
Intellectual property minister David Lammy said: "It is crucial that the next generation of young brand creators understand the benefits of IP protection.
"Effective branding not only adds value to products and wealth to economies, but can define us as individuals and become cultural phenomena."
Last month, the IPO announced that it was revising its patent and trademark fees in an effort to encourage innovation. The new fee structure is due to take affect from April 6th this year.
