Vogue publisher Condé Nast has revealed that it is to launch a twice-yearly style magazine, to be edited by one-time Pop editor Katie Grand.
The magazine will be larger than a monthly and will first hit the shelves in March, it has been reported.
Speaking to the Observer about the as yet untitled magazine, Condé Nast managing director Nicholas Coleridge said: "It is a new departure for Condé Nast UK to publish an edgy, high-end style title in this sector, and in Katie Grand we have the perfect editor who brings the perfect team."
It is also a surprising time to launch such a publication, as luxury purchases such as those available in the fashion and style industries typically fare badly in times of economic crisis.
As such it is likely the publication will benefit from a large fanfare of promotion in the weeks before its launch, to ensure the first edition does well.
Such economic conditions may be one reason for the title being pegged at twice yearly, as opposed to monthly, and it is likely that recruitment will be highly selective in order to ensure only the best writers and photographers are picked for the magazine.
