Virgin Media has approached the world's fastest man, Usain Bolt, in order to request he appears on the company's advertising campaign for its new broadband service.
Appropriately named 'Boltband', the service boasts a 50Mb service - more than twice as fast as rivals, and it is hoped the world's fastest man will represent the product.
Ashley Stockwell, head of Virgin Media's marketing operation, said: "Our new 50Mb service will deliver even faster lightning broadband speeds, which is why we feel that Usain will be the perfect ambassador for our campaign."
The service demonstrates the leaps being made in UK broadband services, and highlights the advancements that websites of the future are contemplating at present.
Already, video content online has proven to be a significant draw to all forms of sites, and online media recruitment by companies across the private and public sector is likely to rise in the coming years.
Virgin Media has so far recruited Samuel L Jackson, Ruby Wax and Uma Thurman in its previous campaigns.
