The successful Web Publications Manager will have line management experience, and have the confidence to guide and develop a team 6 people through a period of change. It is also vitally important that they have excellent project management skills which they can demonstrate. Experience of online publication and working within a large organisation is a must, as well as an understanding of web production. Knowledge of Web Accessibility guidelines, Social Media SEO and IA are needed and a familiarity with CMS particularly Vignette is strongly preferred.


The Role

Is to manage the Web Publishing team, ensuring that it is delivering the best possible results. The Web Publications Manager will be entrusted to give guidance on Web projects, clearly outlining the brief and maintaining overall control. The expectation is they will be the point of reference for best
practice, policy and content management ensuring that the user experience is as enjoyable as can be.The Web Publications Manager will also be required to get involved in web strategy, liaise with the Publishing Manager, and work closely with technical teams.
