A West End based Children's book publisher is looking for a Designer to be responsible for managing design and commissioning assigned projects.
The Designer will be responsible for ensuring highest quality design work is produced within agreed briefs, budget and schedules. To build and maintain good relationships with authors and illustrators, commissioning illustrations, designing each title in consultation with author, editor and marketing and agreeing production schedule to ensure specifications can be met, to produce design specifications to meet brief, policy guidelines and budget and placing work with external suppliers and freelancers as appropriate.
It is essential that the successful candidate has publishing experience, ideally children's books and have strong design experience and a portfolio that will be discussed during interview.
This is a part time role (four days a week), six month fixed term contract that could be extended and will be starting ASAP. It is paying up to £26,700 pa depending on experience.
