
We are looking for a Publishing Assistant to take on the following responsibilities:
*Assist with the research and compilation of global and regional directories: identifying the companies to be included through market research; chasing the required information for each listing; and assisting with the correct and accurate layout of the publication.
*Acting as a point of contact for advertisers and sponsors: acquiring advertisement and advertorial copy, graphics and logos to deadline. Involves liaising with international clients on a daily basis, and strict and timely adherence to schedules.
*Using the CMS and back office administration tools to upload magazine content and its associated products to the website, as well as assisting with any daily maintenance.
*Assisting with the coordination of all production schedules and ensuring that all printing deadlines are met.
*Coordinating additional administrative functions incidental to office activities and responding to issue requests as required.
In order to be successful in this position you will possess the following attributes:
*Educated to A level standard, or higher.
*Strong organisational skills are essential.
*Ability to learn how to use new systems quickly.
*Good English oral and written communication skills.
*Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment is essential.
*Ability to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
*Proficiency with key applications including Microsoft Word and Excel is required, and knowledge of design packages including Adobe InDesign CS5, Photoshop and Acrobat would be beneficial but is not essential.
