A successful, niche publication is looking to recruit a Production designer to work in their catalogue production department.
The catalogue production department produces 250 catalogues per annum, however due to increase in client base and subscriptions this is due to grow substantially. A typical catalogue contains 500 images and takes approximately 3 days from receipt of copy and images to layout proofing and sign-off prior to print.
The role will be incredibly fast paced to it is imperative that the successful candidate has worked in this type of environment before. This role will involve extensive colour management so accuracy and attention to detail are imperative as well as good practical design and layout skills. Advanced Adobe Photoshop and InDesign skills are essential as well as being PC literate.
This is a fixed term contract starting in March for up to nine months with a view to the successful candidate becoming a permanent member of the team after this period.
