
Exhibitions Sales Executive
The Company
Our Client are Europe's largest HR and development professional body and are looking for an Exhibitions Sales Executive to work on their Conferences & Exhibitions
Team. The jobholder will work closely with the Exhibition Sales Manager to maximise revenue opportunities across all the shows in the portfolio;
The Role
Reporting to the Exhibitions Sales Manager you will be responsible for selling exhibition stand space and sponsorship across all exhibitions, to achieve financial targets.
You will have a pro-active approach to selling and the commercial experience to spot opportunities for growth, by finding and developing new business as well as gaining repeat business from existing and lapsed customers.
You will qualify and progress incoming sales enquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate follow up and first class customer care at each stage of the process, from initial enquiry through to post event communication.
You will source new business from trade press, rival media, Internet searches and competing shows and will undertake outbound calling to potential exhibitors from the database, and follow up direct mail campaigns.
You will be on-site at all shows, ensuring high-levels of customer service to exhibitors, visitors and delegates at all times.
The Person
Of graduate calibre, you will have proven experience in a B2B media or exhibitions sales role and be able to demonstrate success in growing revenue through new business. Knowledge of sales techniques such as DIPADA, AIDA or PMMC would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be focused, self-motivated and enthusiastic. You will possess a flexible sales approach with the ability to execute transactional sales as well as applying a more consultative approach as and when necessary.
