My client are a global consulting firm that works with senior business leaders to transform their strategy into reality. They assist their clients to develop their talent, organise people to be more effective and motivate them to perform at their best. They have over 7,000 clients around the world, which range from private, public and not-for-profit sectors, across every major industry and represent diverse business challenges. Their focus is on making change happen and helping people and organisations realise their potential. This particular business unit is entering uncharted territory into the market because they are driven to annual subscription driven products, as a consequence of a high need from the market for solutions such as this. The company could be described as being forward thinking, flexible, focused on growth and innovative in their approach.

The Role

As Business Development Manager within this global management consultancy, you will report into the Regional Sales Manager and will be responsible to win new clients for the business. Your target clients will be organisations that have between 2500-25,000 employees and will operate across multiple industries. The typical sales process will be 3-6 months and you will be contacting a range of decision makers including HR Directors and Talent Managers. The solutions that you will be selling will assist human resource and line managers to effectively support recurring HR processes in their company. This position is responsible to identify non-current clients, initiate meetings, build relationships, identify needs and generate sales in a specified territory. The typical sales cycle will be moderately complex, in that, they could cross multiple countries, business units and organisational functions.

Your Profile

To be considered for this Business Development Manager role, you will a new sales driven, tenacious individual. Your previous sales experience will be consultative and you will be confident to engage with new clients to identify their needs and will feel comfortable working to sales processes in addition of 3 months+. You are likely to have a minimum of 3 years experience and are likely to have experience of selling subscription or consulting services.
