Discussing Salary Details

• People often wonder when to approach this sensitive subject. If you have any salary queries then talk to your pfj consultant rather than asking at the interview.

• If the employer asks what salary you are looking for then be reasonable about the figure you quote. This should be something you have discussed with your pfj consultant.

• If the employer discusses a salary they want to offer you at the interview then only commit to a figure you are happy to accept. It would be a good time to ask about other aspects of the package such as bonus or commission, pension schemes and other benefits. Do not accept anything you are unhappy with.

• Always ensure you leave the interview saying that you are very interested in the post and would like to be considered very seriously (if this is how you genuinely feel).
